In May 2006, Pima County voters approved a half-cent excise (sales) tax to fund a 20-year regional transportation plan. The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) has completed more than $1.4 billion in regional transportation improvements through this funding mechanism. The current RTA plan will expire in 2026. Regional investment and partnering are critical to funding and delivering effective multimodal transportation projects that benefit our community. A continuation of the RTA excise (sales) tax within Pima County would help meet the transportation demands to address varied needs within our region and will leverage other transportation resources, such as federal grants. RTA Next is the new 20-year regional transportation plan that will go to the ballot for public vote.

ATB is collaborating with industry and business leaders, including ABA, AGC, Tucson Chamber, SALC, Sundt Construction, MPA, ARPA, and SAHBA to form Building for Tomorrow.

Building for Tomorrow is committed to educating and advocating for RTA Next.

ATB is asking our members, at both individual and corporate levels, to support RTA Next by signing the resolution on the provided link www.building4tomorrow.com.
